Due to continued growth, Safegard Systems are looking to appoint the following additional personnel:

Field Service/Maintenance Engineer

Role:

Based out of our Bray office, you will be required to travel throughout Ireland and occasionally the UK/Europe and carry out scheduled maintenance calls along with the occasional emergency call out.  Servicing and Maintaining Electro-Mechanical and embedded computer based control systems, a technical and analytical mindset is required.
Self-motivated and customer focused, you will be required to work on your own initiative to solve on-site problems.
PC literate and MS Office proficient to log and report site visits along with a Full clean driving license is required.

Duties:
  • Carry out planned maintenance visits & reactive service visits across sites in Ireland and occasionally UK/Europe
  • Site Survey, Negotiation & Sale of Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts
Requirements:
  • Experience of site work / reactive & preventative maintenance 
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Comfortable in a customer facing, site meeting environment
  • Willing to travel Ireland + UK/Europe
  • Regular overnight stays whilst working on site
  • Occasional out of hours work
  • Self-motivated
  • Electrical/IT qualification – trade / diploma / degree
  • General computer & Windows knowledge, qualification/knowledge
  • General PC Skills - Microsoft Word Access Excel
  • General BAS/BMS/Fire Alarm knowledge
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Safe pass holder an advantage

Sales & Marketing – External

Technically minded individual ideally with experience of the building services HVAC industry with the ability to converse confidently at all levels right up to sale closure. Working throughout Ireland or office based, continuously generating sales and promoting product awareness to achieve the company’s agreed targets.  Excellent communication skills required in diverse negotiation environments face to face, over the phone & email.  

Role:
  • Generation of sales enquiries and product offering awareness across the country
  • Direct marketing to contractors and consulting engineers
  • Organisation and delivery of CPD presentations
  • Interpret enquiries and generate quotations to orders in line with agreed targets
  • Technical ability to advise and select products for client applications
  • Full product training will be provided
  • Entry of all transactions/activity into in-house database
  • Promotion of Safegard Systems in line with company ethos and vision.
  • Occasional out of hours work.
 Requirements:
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills are key
  • Strong and assertive personality when required.
  • Willingness to travel and a full clean driving license
  • Flexibility in all aspects of work – ‘Can Do’ attitude.
  • PC Literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Access
  • Ability to work on own initiative & self-motivated
  • Customer focused
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Previous sales experience within the ventilation / construction industry would be preferred but not essential
  • Ability to learn fast and hit the ground running
  • Good negotiating skills & ability to close a sale
  • 3rd level qualification would be preferred but not essential
  • Experience with M3 ERP software very beneficial but not essential
Salary

Technical Support / CAD Engineer

Role:

Based in our Bray offices, offering technical support on all Electro-Mechanical and embedded computer-based smoke / fire damper control systems.  AutoCAD design of standard and bespoke control panel electrical layouts and system schematics.
A customer focused individual with a technical mindset and knowledge of electro-mechanical design, embedded Windows environments and AutoCAD experience is required.

Duties:

  • Support internal and external technical services team with any technical queries
  • Support external sales and applications engineers with any technical queries
  • Use AutoCAD to provide electrical / mechanical layout drawings for production of all control system projects. (Electro-Mechanical and Embedded Computer Based)
  • Provide production support when necessary.
  • Assist with in house testing of new products

Requirements:

  • Electro-Mechanical Design (Relay logic, transformer and component sizing)
  • Electrical / IT qualification – trade / diploma / degree
  • Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and communications peripheral devices.
  • Excellent computer & Windows knowledge – qualification / knowledge
  • Excellent PC Skills - Microsoft Word Access Excel
  • General BAS / BMS / Fire Alarm knowledge
  • Knowledge of fieldbus protocols such as LonWorks, Modbus or BACnet is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Self-motivated
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Safe pass holder an advantage

 

Full product training will be given for all roles.
